Slark is actually good against durable heroes because you get tons of Essence shift.
Dark pact is not about damage so much but about dispelling stuns,silences etc. You can highround siege for days just by using it whenver its off CD>attack tower>pounce back.
He is not really good in this 10 min all mid memeball but hey, in pubs he is still a hero that requires high team effort and team coordination to stop, so thats why he will always be a pub stomper
BKB is not optimal on any hero, but getting it as a 3rd-4th item won't do so much harm.
Dota is not about 1vs1, obv slark has his counters or carries/heroes he cant kill so easily(AM, PL as you said) but PL won't be able to kill a Slark as well

well from what i checked, most of that guy's games were with 4ks/5ks. might be party though, not many people there have public mmr
