Slark is not a hard carry ; he's not PL or AM and you're indeed right that they will rip Slark apart with 30k Networth even if he also does.

An AM with Manta/BF/Treads + whatever the fuck he bought along the way (like PMS etc) is 10k NW. A Slark with S&Y/Basher/PT will rape the AM -- you want to argue against that? You'd be fucking stupid.
The AM will never outcarry a Slark if they get equal farm at the same time because the Slark will destroy the AM during the entire game.
PL also can't fight a Slark early game just because of Shadow Dance & Dark pact (lvl 4 Pact instantly kills illusions before PL has 1500hp).

Slark has a MUCH better chance of beating AM then PL, PL 6 slotted is GG for him. Too many illusions, your Dark Pact and pounce feel useless, and you get this feeling of being overwhelmed by illusions, ESPECIALLY if you already wasted Shadow Dance.
The proper way to kill a 6 slotted AM as a 6 slotted slark is to beat the shit out of their tanky initiaton/offlane hero, kill him and get something like 20-30 stacks, then jump AM and abyssal him, and actually kill him with your (suddenly) nice right clicks, obviously also use ult/back off whenever necessary.
However, if AM reads what you're doing (aka isn't complete retard) this is going to be harder.
Well it can be tricky against 6 slotted AM or PL in late game and you have to outplay them by reseting the fight multiple times with Glimmer/SB until you've got enough stacks to kill them.
But if the teamfight lasts for like 10 sec where everyone throws all they got and fully commits 6slotted Slark will usually get raped by 6slotted AM or PL

also i dont think that the whole fight is 1v1 u know.
and believe me vs PL : PT > S&Y > Mjollnir > Skadi > MKB + sb/blink vs a fat PL it doesnt work.
