Millions of people all over the world use Dotabuff to help them understand Dota and improve their game. While the common language spoken by the Dotabuff team is English, most Dotabuff users do not view the site in English. We work hard to ensure that everything on our site can be translated, so that users can view the site in their own language.
Translating the site itself is a community effort. Many of the languages that we support on the site aren't spoken by anybody on the Dotabuff team. We rely on our community to help provide accurate translations to the many pages across the site.
Our translation effort is managed through Crowdin. We supply the source text in English, and the community translates this text into the many languages that they speak. After the translations have been verified and the community agrees on a translation for a given term, we add it to the live site.
Users that add significant contributions to our set of translations are rewarded with complementary credits for Dotabuff Plus.
Dotabuff is translated into fifteen languages, with two more awaiting improved coverage before going live.
