Treasures are on dodgy legal footing so they needed a new model to sell hats. Strip out the HUD rubbish and it's a not a terrible deal - battlecups and terrain are nice to have for starters.
Its 3 dollars a month for a game most people probably play atleast 1-2h a day, and to top that, you dont have to pay it if you dont want to. Playing an awsome free game is a privilege not a rite, so maybe complain less about that.
Also I've noticed since the update that the overwolf application runs absolutely terrible now.
If i have like, 2,5K solo MMR and 3K party MMR, and then queue for party ranked and rank up to Ancient 5 with them, then queue for solo, i'll have to win like, a lot of game do rank up to Divine 0 or what?
op: its the battle pass, but you can choose when to have it or not to have it :-D
+you can get some nice skins (the tusk one is really cool imho)
It only replaced battlepass for majors (like winter 2017).
TI8 battlepass will be released later.

So they made the overwolf application (which is free btw) into a subscription that costs money with a few extra shiny bells and whistles to make it appeal to people?
Also does this mean that the battle passes are gone now? Because I generally look forward to those...
