how about dont leave the game before it sais "safe to leave"
also in general it's a good thing to switch on your brain before playing dota
when someone leaves the game they have 5 minutes to come back in game.
at picking phase they have to click "abandon" or else they can come back as well.
as soon as they hit "abandon match" or the timer runs out, you get the message "safe to leave"
before that you cant leave safely, obviously
It said safe to leave in the chat box. I'm looking at the stream video right now, but the player isn't disconnected. Is there a console command that you can enter to have it say what it would typically say if the game was safe to leave? The two messages were back to back in how fast they came on the screen so I doubt he had time to type or copy and paste it.
Yesterday I have played game, which never started, server failed to operate before match started, game stated as safe to leave, didn't even try to leave, tried to reconnect multiple time, couldn't connect to server which was down, didn't even try to exit safe to leave game untill button dissappeard, and yet still lost more than 1500 behaviour points. So fun. I think valve should get behaviour points too.

And by leave match, of course I mean after someone has already abandoned... In the pick phase. But it doesn't say the game is safe to leave and I abandon anyway and get low priority. This has actually happened before, like 2 or 3 days ago. I know for a fact that if I play the game all the way through then I will get no stats recorded. Is this just my servers or does this happen with anyone else lately?
