I get FPS drop when i display chat text, otherwise its ok but not amazing
i had like 70-80 fps before the patch but now i have like 30-40 fps even with the lowest settings ..
im not noticing anything. kept same settings and everything so maybe my computers just too good.
well i just update my graphic cards which intel and amd and now fps is around 70-80 ..
Source 1 180 fps, reborn 90-110 fps, dota 3 7.00 - 20-50 fps when i press alt fps drop to 10 fps
i drop a lot too .....ping tooo...... i hope they fix fps ...and optimize game ....game is unplayable
Hey guys, if you have a AMD graphics card, and have AMD crimson drivers, try clearing the Shader Cache.
In the dota 2 test client, and after it released on the main client yesterday, I was getting 15-20 FPS, I used to get 50-65 FPS average on max settings before.
I tried everything, but then I realized how much new shit they put into the game (dynamic grass, new shaders, improved textures, ect) so I cleared the shader cache, and then boom, i'm back up to my old FPS. I guess the older shader files were colliding with the new ones, thus crippling many peoples FPS.
Open up AMD Radeon settings, go to the gaming tab, then go to global settings, then on the right you should see reset button above the texture filtering quality option, clear the shader cache, and try Dota 2. (try restarting steam before you open up Dota 2 though)
If it doesn't work, just wait for Valve to release optimization patches like they always do after a big patch within the next few days probably, then well all probably get higher FPS. (cause everyones having this problem, some worse than others, only people who aren't are people with insane gaming PC's who get high FPS regardless)
WTF are you complaining, im going on 24-29 FPS on my laptop. Before the update I was pretty steady at 40.
Used to have 40 fps, now it's around 25 fps. I also get lag when I display the chat
any1 get this wierd shit dota starts at windowed mode? and crashes at least 2 times in game?
Can people with issues specify their OS and GPU model? I have GTX 960M, Win 10. Used to be stable 60 fps. Now it jumps between 25 and 45. Drops when using shop and moving camera. I don't play it until it's fixed, pls Valve.
GTX 1050ti, win 10. Still stable at ~70fps high setting.
I am using Vulkan support. Turning off your XBOX VR should help too.

It reset my graphic settings it might have changed yours as well... thus making your frames drop probably worth a check
I like the new ui am i the only one??? once you make minimap XL and turn off simple colors i think its pretty good
Absolutely fuming. Had a steady 180fps on ultra settings in 6.88. Down to 140 now. Literally unplayable.

Yeah, haven't played one match since the update, game is unplayable, it sits around 20-35 FPS, when I used to get 55-70 FPS max settings. Even clearing the shader cache trick I did earlier isn't working anymore. Just gotta wait till they release performance patches, but I think they're getting everything else out of the way first.
i cannot play this game anymore, so sad, Huge fps issues on this new update, with vulcan support or without it, same bullshit, tkx volvo
in my defence, I feel justified in being an ass because I spent a lot of 6.88 playing on 20fps on a beat-up old laptop that'd overheat if I played too long.
seriously though, wonder what they have done to make it so hard to render - i'm running an i7-6850K and a 1080. shouldn't have any trouble whatsoever of maxing out fps - I could actually get something like 220 with this setup in 6.88. maybe all the 3d is making things tougher for the processors.
6.88 had 120 locked fps , after 7 patch fps droped to 100 but the next day after some patches i got my fps back as in 6.88
i dont know about you.. maybe disable grass shit and tree wind and stuff
Yeah there's massive fps drops in 7.00 I had to turn down my settings to lowest in order to play normally with decent fps.
