its good and you should get it almost everygame, maybe except against doom then you go sblade sny

i think ecchi sabre is pretty much core on him

the double attack makes for easy stat steal esp on early-mid game where slark still has that weird attack animation like he's tryna enjoy fapping by squeezing out every last bit of muc he can as slowly as he can

mana regen + aquila allows him to roam the map virtually 24/7, even without a support's arc boots if you dont spam pounce or shadow blade for failed pickoffs. you can spam dark pact in farming and you would still be able to react to counterganks fairly fast and efficiently if the fight is not drawn out

imo aquila is a wasted item on him now

Saber, aquila is ok if you actually want to push a lane fast but i don’t reccomend it if u regularly gank

If you skip sabre you are playing the hero wrong. I still think aquila is OK but usually I just go raindrop+talon. If I played Slark more often I'd probably have a better feel of when to go aquila and when to skip it.

I dont play much slark but when I do I usually get basilius cuz I like to get the ring of protection in my starting items, and complete the basilius from the side shop, its good to give some passive mana to ur support and urself or when you want to push. Then you can just dissasemble it and sell the ring of protection and you just lost 85 gold~, use the sage's mask for the echo.
If theres a cm on my team I usually skip the ring of protection into basilius and I start with mango for the burst mana.

sabre without aquila make you mana starved if you use dark pact to farm jungle camps even with tread switching. If you have a good lane & good farm i think it is advised to go for aquila to make your life easier, but if you're in a shitty lane where you have like 30 last hit by 10 min just skip it

What i meant was echo saber is fine but not aquila in terms of ganking. But its actually a good set of items if you choose to take objectives on destroying towers than aimlessly gank enemies.... I would reccomend raindrop/poor mans shield if you choose to gank

Or you can use dissasembled ring of protection for iron talon and farm waves/camps very fast
(I guess its still worth getting at like lvl 6)

I get the echo sabre when I don't have to get fast Silver Edge.

If I get fast Silver Edge, I might actually skip it and go for some different item. Sometimes I get it regardless. It really depends of a game flow/momentum.

Then again, I disagree it's a core item on him, but it's really good.

i do get a qb mainly for juking purposes

but i wont be using that much in the jungle i wont be farming creeps im supposed to farm heroes

well farming hard camp during offtime is really hard since slark has pisspoor base dmg

echo sabre = good mana regen + good for slark buff.
if CM in your side echo sabre is situational, you can skip into SnY or S.Basher.
if u rich enough go dagon.
shadow blade bonus damage+pounce+dark pact+dagon=ez solo kill.

If u like dagon u can go blink for combo dark pact. It goes like dark pact-blink-pounce-dagon-dark pact. You can start the combo off with eblade too :^)

I have over 100games on slark before echo sabre was in game , lately im playing him rarely but i see blue star saying here its core and you playing him wrong if you not build that, i dont think so item is good and never would be bad choice but also very rarely do diffrence between successful gank or unsuccessful or just help you win tf, i pick aguila and than SB, blink if you know there are good supports, skadi always great item the rest as situation, and worst idea to me is going echo after SB, after sb you need real items

before sb yes, after no (unless you built the mana part (robe + sage or whole oblivion) before sb).

If you go for a blink build, then it's almost mandatory to go for echo
