Because creating a smurf account is the fastest way to reach high mmr than grinding/climbing your original account.
95% of smurf account are usually abandoned. They just 'print screen' their mmr because if they continue playing their smurf account, they'll eventually go their 'real' mmr. After all, calibrating is not perfect, but mmr matchmaking is near perfect.
Take it from a smurf like @Kyou, 90% of DB members are smurfs. They use to post everyday here about how bad their games are or *Guess my MMR b/s. Heck you're a smurf too.
Dota is very unfriendly for beginners. Unfortunately. But smurf system is working. IF someone is way better than u eg. hes 4-5k mmr, he will be soon put into Very high skill games, cos of smurf detection.
On my smurf which I play with my noob friend, i was put into VHS after 3-4 games, so its working.
mmr is not perfect anyway ... becoz lot of acc buyer ... ppl even buy 3k acc and ruin everyones game... glhf

As a new player im learned a lot about heroes, mah friend teach me too about simple heroes, such as riki. but what happen in my every match, ppl keep shouting "me mid" and sometimes "its my new id im 4k"and it happened almost every game, in my riki games too. why they play in new account when they have a high mmr? lately im trying to play tinker too, as a midlaner. but wtf theres more insult comming out like when i accidentaly dagon creep, or tp on enemy face cuz i forgot to press stop. they saying "noob" or "bobo" even tough their match only 20 - 40, lower than me, ive played 60 match omg whos the noob one. plz smurfer outa here, stop ruining noobs games. its not fun u know, thx sir
