Yes. 2k is like the average MMR. 4-5k is waaaaay above average and I would say that's pretty skilled bracket for sure.
A player that goes from 2-6k in 10 years is still a better player than the player that went from 2-5k in 1 day.
Its about what your mmr is RIGHT NOW, not what it was before.
2-5k in one day would be epic. Also there are like a trillion 5k players, 6 and above is rare.
