well i actually think that's the case since the is an RTS game but it takes a fair amount of mechanical skill to actually play good

u r not really correct regarding what talent in team sports is, its not just about ur physical capacities; decision-making, team work, fast thinking, "feeling" of the game, etc. are way more important.
all of this can be attributed to dota, too, jointly with reaction time, good memory, communication skills, a bit of knowledge in calculus, etc.

normies like me use game sense instead, but u could also calculate the dps and shit when choosing items, exact amount of dmg u are able to deal when ganking someone (actual dmg*(1-spell resist.), etc.
You'd have to be fast as well to click on them and calculate that while controlling your own hero . I'd be like pause. Calculate that shit out then type in all chat I will do 1249 damage to you , with your current hp pool of 1197 , you will die .

what exactly is 'talent" in dota? i mean in sports like basketball or something u'd be called talented if u could jump higher than everyone else or shoot better than everyone else, but in dota idk, it's kinda vague, how can u even be talented in a video game?
