It is always the idiot smurfs making these posts. I've won plenty of 4-5 core games, the only difference is I don't abuse calibration into getting into a bracket I don't belong.
The point system is devoted toward glorifying the core roles, not the support roles. If the end screen told you who provided the most vision, hero healing, or stacked camps, you'd probably see an increase in those playing support. To seriously encourage supporting, however, they would need some kind of reward system that gives badges (that appear next to your name, perhaps) based on your success in a particular role. I think this would seriously encourage people to study and master roles.
The glorification of carrying over support/offlaning is the single biggest flaw in Dota, IMO. Moreover, I believe it is actually causing Valve to lose money, because much of the toxicity and frustration in Dota comes from the lack of diversity and synergy in team composition.
Once upon a time i was a carry. I saw everbody wants carry or mid. And played hundreds of 5 man carries games. Obviously was painful and lost lots of mmr. Then decided to play sups and im happy now. It's even funnier. Go try it. I mean you have nothing to lose. Go play support like 20-30 games and you'll see beeing support is also good thing.
Not everyone want to carry. I don't. If I played carry all that time, I would have 460 MMR, not 4600.
Let them carry then, it is up to you to make a change. Play mid, go offlane or support, what is the problem?
Your bracket is higher than mine and if I can support my trench you can support your games.
9 times out of 10, when I play support, I carry the team anyways, but I carry them in my decisions. No one else is smart enough to ward, or buy a TP to counter-gank, or when to hit a useful ult, especially if you really don't belong in your skill bracket.
Because being carry enables you to blame your supports for your mistakes. Being support enables you to blame you carries for their mistakes.

Why does everyone want to play carry? Like when you carry, someone picks carry. No adjustment at all. And this happens at 4K mmr
