Green, Grey, and Red in General Discussion

I believe that each game underlyingly has a color (not actually but hear me out).
Green games - you win no matter how well or bad you play, unless of course you're feeding
Red- You lose no matter how well you play. The games where you tend to blame your team
Grey - Game is a toss up and itll come down to actual skill/hero picking etc.

So for those of you asking how to move up MMR, you're gonna lose some bad games, you're gonna win some "ez" games. if you want to move up MMR you have to be the difference in the grey games.

    Examples for me:
    Green- http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2126199110
    Grey win- http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2121967701
    Grey loss- http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2124351720
    Red- http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2119865218

Obviously it's not as simple as "be the difference" you actually have to play well, but just for those of you who sometimes feel "helpless" in losses, don't sweat it, and go get the next one. In my red game i played my ass off but one person doesn't win a game of 5v5.

I divide my games based on my contribution.

Team won or lost without me doing anything.

Team won or lost with me doing something.

Team won or lost because of me.

      Androgynous

        pretty much

@gg but what about the games that your team loses no matter what you do?

          [RR53] RR

Well you can put that under first scenario, team lost without me contributing to that. Basically, team was shit, I played good. Or to 2nd scenario, team was doing bad, but not like I was any better.

I get that, very similar comparrisons. I'm sure it could go either way. But for sure there are unwinnable games and unlosable games in my opinion

I won a game where I was playing solo Spec versus Abba and SK lane. Lost both t1 and t2 in 10 mins and had shitty jungle LC + "roaming support Techies".

I lost a game where I killed TA 7 times in 10 mins as Viper.

So never say " we lost/won" until either Ancient falls.

My grey win example was like that. We were facing mega creeps for 35 minutes before two of them abandoned and we pushed mid while i defended. Also we had 0 rax down when they got megas.
