I am 5.2k player and i will tell you what i would have done differently. I think bkb wasnt necessary in this game, manta was a really good pick tho in this game against their slows+silences. Against templar and ember you need items to kill them, I dont mean damage but something like hex or abyssal. You cant rely on your team to do the job even tho its not your job to do. I dont have much more to say but you should watch replay at min 32 mark and think what went wrong.

I don't have access to replay right now but gotta check that out later. And yeah, I considered buying a hex but went full retard with rapiers and ended up losing them. And yes BKB wasn't necessary. My team suggested it but should've just used my own brain rather than listened to them.
Your team fed well, mate. You should have gotten Satanic and Daedalus in my opinion (And a consumed Moon Shard preferably).
I thought a linkens was mandatory for that game. Apart from that, there isnt much you can do if team doesnt cooperate
I'd say you can out tank ember or TA, both is really hard. Scythe will make you more tanky though, bloodstone too, but you need that lockdown for ember for sure.
Thing is, there is only so much info someone can give you by looking at the match details. Games this long are decided by misplays you make in game. (Getting picked off after getting a rapier, for example.)
Itemwise, keep in mind you have a mic. (Or a keyboard at the very least, i hope)
You can help your teammates, or tell them what to get too. A ghost on the supps vs TA/Ember, even a manta on brood vs TA/Silencer, a hex on someone, etc. They may not always listen, but it won't hurt to try.
Losing the game however comes down to a lot more than just item choices and stats.
Did you show up to crucial fights? Did you try to take objectives? Communicate objectives w/ team?
Understand how your and your allies heros work, and play accordingly.
how did brood only do 1k tower dmg to your 9k? lol he shouldve been pushing while u just D
brood did a fighting build against an ember and a ta who can kill ALL of her broodlings in 2 seconds which makes no sense.
I also believe you maybe couldve used a divine but it wouldve been risky because you couldve been killed VERY easily.
BKB didnt seem very important compared to some other items in this game
Also sometimes you just get a bad team and you have to accept the loss (Ex. http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2121978422 )
