Vengeful Spirit ALL DAY EVERY DAY, damn jungle LC brother, we have so much in common.
She can do it all, and can even transition into a core somewhat if the game goes late, and she just happens to have extra gold laying around. The heroes just too good, her meta will come, read my lips, it WILL COME SOON if they keep buffing her like they've been doing. Remember Lina? She eventually got buffed so much, she was pretty much played mid exclusively, and her support status became a thing of the past that patch. (6.84)
She is mostly used in push strats though, but people underestimate how much damage she can do when built right, support or not.
I was support Venge, and raped an Ember Spirit who thought i'd be an easy support solo kill. I literally ran away, my team was dead spectating, and I saw his items, and remembered just how squishy ember is in general, I turned around, stunned him, wave of terror, right clicked him, and then hunter became the hunted, everyone in all chat LOL'd. (owned by the support) I had Silver edge and Deso, he had had Battle fury, daedalus, and ring of aquila, bots, and something else. (I started off as support by the way, and the enemy team was winning, so it wasn't a stomp)
Just wait, there will be a day Venge can be played mid, and you won't dare get flamed. (Valve change her fucking ultimate!!!!)

Play roaming hero..always hunt enemy.. Let them fail every lanes..so easy game..im also from 3.3 up 4.1k...i play supp n carry..
Thanks guys for your suggestions. I think im going to start playing Venge. Hmm..should I max stun and wave first?
^ kind of depends really. If your team is physical heavy, e.g. slardar you can max wave first. Just don't put a point in vengeance aura if you are playing normal and your carry actually understands creep equilibrium.

I play at SEA and dont always play a lot of mmr, i almost always do pub coz when I play mmr, theres no one who picks support and i had to do it. Its not like I hate playing support, in fact im happy to do it, its just that when I dont, more of the times we dont have support.
So heres the thing, what support hero is best for doing all the support job? I mean one who does all the warding and can roam and stuff(in case the other 4 picks core).
P.S.
Is it better to pull creep waves in neutral creeps when the safelane is getting harrased by a tri lane enemy offlane? Or better not to?
