basically you have 2 mmr numbers so matchmaking can place u into the correct games - 1 that u get from playing ranked games and u can easily find out, and 1 for unranked games, that you are not able to see...
u can play 20 ranked games and have an mmr of 4k, and then play 500 unranked games and win 80% of these, ur invis rating will be much higher than ur ranked one.

Queued against this guy in an unranked game the other night.. 5k solo according to his profile, and the invis mmr region would have been around 3k.. Was just looking at the match stats and checked out his profile. Is it just me or does this guy look like he's been boosted HARD?
A legit 5k player would have most likely just taken mid and stomped game.. this guy makes shitty rikor pick, gets kills but loses game.
