General Discussion - Foulfell Shard inquiry - DOTABUFF

I got a few questions about this Foulfell shard.
1. What kind of socket is needed to be able to put this into an item? Is it a general socket or an ethereal one?
2. Do corrupted items have visual effects ingame?
3. Demons imprisoned counter still working at the current patch?
