I haven't read the W A R C R A F T books, but isn't this movie supposed to be about the beginning, everything else (Kel Thuzad, Arthas and Gul'dan/Drek'thar action) will most likely come later if this film doesn't fail

I read the novelizations back in the day - the lore is fairly entertaining and this movie could take it places provided it's put in the right hands.

also stop complaining about Arthas . obviously if the film is a success there will be a warcraft 2-3 AND then youll see arthas undying night elves etc. Almost 100% sure

Blizzard is making a movie about characters nobody fucking cares about xD It's comical. I mean, except for blizzard bookworms, that is. But if that's your intended audience you should shoot yourself in the head, Blizzard. Majority of people are most interested in wc3 and post wc3 lore, not that shit reduced to a story worse than Avatar.

installed wc3 yesterday to play some games. ah the memories.

They're dodging the Arthas story completely for now. To much riding on that to fail e.g. massively high expectations. This story line follow warcraft 2 and lothars fight vs the blackrock clan.

Actually adding to this the comment that the video is based on the game is a misconception. The lore and storyboarding behind the WC world is really fucking extensive, and there are a number of really good writers who have writen novels, history, and lore behind the games which will help fill out the characters more than a game could.

Any fan of the WC series will know damn well who the story is about and if all you know is WC3 story line then well....I guess that's your luck out. While the most popular as explained before there has been far too much on the RoC lore and the most of WoW has centred around Illidan/Arthas so it makes sense to start the story from the beginning, see how it goes, then tackle the high expectations for the Arthas film.
