Depends on the heroes you're against. You still want it against slark, bristleback, pa, spectre and void.
its good if ur intended doom target is going to be a bulky hero/has lots of healing support or you need the break
not at all, for 4200 u can build drum + vladmir.
Considering pub is all about teamfight those 2 item should be better than investing 4200 on aghanim.
Try going arcane on doom and going mekans + drum + vladmir your team should be win every team fight with mekans + drum +vladmir + aura from wolf / armor from ogre.
That's kind of shitty, aghs is pretty bad now, but on the plus side aghs is no longer core. Before the dmg upgrade was so big it almost had to be gotten, now it's only mandatory if you need break really. I think we'll see a lot more right click doom's going around now building s&y, halberd, ac, bashers.
I think right click doom is more viable now. Even with the nerf on scorched earth it's really strong and with the crit aura doom does a good amount of damage. I build usually build vlads or vlads + drums and ac to be able to tank damage. After that go to appropriate damage items for particular game depending on the damage output from the other team. Aghs to me is not worth it unless you are going refresher to literally take 2 opponents out of team fights but the cost/benefit ratio is no longer there as to the aghs imo.
spector is prob. only viable if u go refresher now IMO. Why rush sceptor when u can prob rush midas for more GPM.

(Aghanim's Scepter no longer increases Doom damage from 20/35/50 to 40/60/80)
- 6.85b: Scorched Earth damage and heal reduced from 12/24/36/48 to 12/23/34/45
- 6.85b: Scorched Earth cooldown rescaled from 60/55/50/45 to 55
Well thats that for 6.85. With Scepter the damage would be 800 compared to 750 without. But considering the break mechanics and the stats also "Duration does not count down while the target is within 900 range of Doom." Is rushing aghs on doom still worth it or are there other viable options considering on the game?
