It's part of the radiance, Oct core, split push build that became popular. There's no other reasons behind manta style other than this.
It is Alchemist Siren. Basically, Alchemist pretends to be Naga Siren because he can get radiance at minute 9 and become active right away while still farming.

So recently, I've seen a lot of Alchemist came back to the game, and lot of them are building Manta Style. Is there any reason behind this?
