It's kinda an attempt to not change the sound way too much from what it was like in wc3 in orb of corruption, it's just a much worse version of it. Maybe a melting sound added to original projectile sound might be better?

I think desolator projectile sound should be replaced with antimage saying "Thine armor be dashed!" every time. Also to balance for this, you'd get 10 armor reduction instead of 7 because you'd have to listen to that for the rest of the game unless you sell it.

It sounds cheap and hollow each attack. Grown very tired of it. 'Stygian Desolator' was such a cool name as well, touch of the old days.
