Hero is dog shit and only decent in the laning stage.

what do you mean he is a ctually an ok hero, heal 1 hero like mek (or more idk), purge stuns/hexes/silences from your bros, when you hit someone your team gets +500 mmr(not really just ms and atkspeed, but still pretty good) and ulti that makes space and makes enemy not want to focus you first in fights

      ehehe

retard friendly hero, considering normal sklil is like 99% of the player base or seomthing, its really easy to win with, dotabuff stats dont mean shit really

          also this^

          Winters

Good utility hero with potential to carry. Annoying presence in TF, have to avoid him if health goes below a certain amount while he can still attack you. Essentially has a self shallow grave that heals when taking damage.

            Relentless

It is hard to feed with Abaddon. Really he is the hardest hero to kill in the game. So all the bad players that play him don't feed = win.

Also if you are good at him Abaddon is really an extremely powerful defensive support hero. With a mech he can instantly heal a hero for 500 hp and block the next 200 dmg... then heal/block another 450 in the next 6 seconds... It makes bursting down someone almost impossible. This makes initiating against a good abaddon nearly impossible. Even more decisive, if you are quick you can instantly remove stuns.

What? They blink hexed your carry and he was too slow to hit bkb? Any other situation you lose the fight and the rax late game - with Abaddon no problem - hex removed - win fight.

Omniknight and Abaddon are #1, #2 winrates for the same reason. It makes it very easy to stop your idiot team from feeding. Preventing Abaddon and Omni from protecting requires some significant skill and coordination which rarely exists in pub games. Ursa's winrate actually jumped a lot this patch for the same reason. His new ult makes is very hard for him to feed. Before pubs often fed away his early lead - now it doesn't happen as much.

I have a 72% winrate for Abaddon... its a hero I don't pick much because its so easy to win its boring. Just think about the incredible array of defensive items availalbe now that synergize with his saving skills. Guardian Greaves, Solar Crest, Force Staff, Linkens, Lotus Orb, Aghs... its possible to heal someone/block dmg totaling 1150 hp, block a spell, remove two stuns, remove silence, reflect spells, give +25 armor and evasion, reposition them for escape... and take 35% dmg reduction on top of it all? How can you kill the target?

It really requires that you start by blink disabling abaddon, and chain disablign him while killing someone else since killing Abaddon first is completely impossible if you did not pick axe.

Thing with Dota: If you commit a lot on a hero, and cannot execute him cause abaddon heals him up = you lost momentum in fight and enemy can just run you down.

This is special for lower tier games, cause people will have bad picks and Abaddon just crushes teams alone due to it. I like calling teams with heals and shit (Abaddon, Undying, Dazzle (not as much) can make games 6v4, if enemy has heroes like Bounty Hunter, cause he doesn't really provide too much to fights when you can run enemy down.

                Relentless

Abaddon has a positve pub win rate ( over 50%) against every hero except Omni-knight and Undying who can protect better early and win a few games from him before he gets enough mana and hp to save ppl consistently.

The reason he doesn't dominate pro games is his range on saving spells is too short. So a team with real skills and coordination can jump and disable him while killing the other heroes first. Mist coil was buffed to a respectable 800 range, but aphotic shield is still 450. By comparison Mech heals at 900 range, and Dazzle can cast shallow grave at 1000 range and heal at up to 3325 range (in theory with bounces) easily heals up to 1425 range.

                  [troll] Feed Afk

He is hard to feed with, and can carry against 2k scrubs like me, who can't deal with him early, let him get fed, and Abaddon is quite strong lategame, if his team has a gold advantage, as the supports can't euls him, he can keep his carry alive with aphotic shield, he even skips heal for stats, as the heal is bad in super low MMR. Why heal an ally, when you're the main damage dealer? Every hero is a good chaser 1v1 with mom+basher. Super low MMR scrub here.

In super low MMR, Abaddon is a carry. In slightly higher MMR, he is an annoying support like Omniknight. He is strong earlygame, can get kills against noobs, is hard to feed with, and unlike Dazzle, Oracle, Lich or many other earlygame supports, he has decent carry potential with a gold advantage, as he doesn't feed it away like Lina, and his rightclicks have some scaling, unlike Lion, Lich or CM.(although it is very weak, only slightly stronger than Oracle or Dazzle)

Omniknight just destroys retards on the enemy team that can't punish him in lane, eat heal bombs for free, and rightclick enemies with guardianangel.

                    Last picking is 4 pussies

Per dotamax this hero wins 56.13% of games in patch 6.84 over almost 400k games in very high skill ranked matches.

Yes very retard friendly hero just melee supports typically don't go well with your safelane carry minus what gyro?

He doesn't win pro games cause his ult is kind of useless at this level of play and offers very minimal in the meta offensively.

I'm sure a reason Abaddon is rarely seen in pro games are also that people don't know how to play it

                          That's what I thought

^---dotamax.com and you can see that at higher levels it's roughly the same.

Ursa had a 56% win rate in VHS bracket too. There must be some mistake

                              Born

Because if you pair him with retarded pub stomp heroes like huskar hero is a freew win.
                                Same with omni.
