damage taken after all reductions = damage reflected
unless the enemy is under a damage amplification buff/debuff in which case they take more damage than they deal
its only the 40% you take(- other reduction) that gets reflected by blade mail . If you are looking for an item that abuses mana shield you could try mask of madness, since the damage application only applies to the 40% you take, ( the attack speed is smexy with split shot).
the only reason why im not sure is because i never fucking made blademail on medusa. its punishable by death.

As mana shield absorb 60% of damage ,will blade mail only reflect the remaining 40% and reflect all incoming damage?
