diffu vital bouster, that's way better than manta: cheaper, and easier to build and stronger.

I am not a fan of rushing tons of cheap items on spectre (drums urn wand etc, it's just over the top waste), on the other hand, rushing diffusal is actually giving you an item you won't really sell, an item that actually helps you do the same thing you said up there (kill supports with haunt, well, try purging them when you reality in and destroying them), especially since it works well with manta, and purge charges are nice while they last.
i think its good if you are losing compared to radiance
when ure losing generally the problem is the supports just tank through your haunt and lose no hp
and/or they just man up when you reality in and fight you
diffusal purge does not prevent the man-up, while manta does
neither is the mana burn dmg from haunt worth it, you increase the overall aoe dmg from haunt but when you are behind no ones close to dying you want the dmg to focus one target down
cheap items are great for spectre shes a fighting carry akin to gyro ember jugg etc whats going on
but spectre is so easy to play how come you're having a hard time getting radiance?

At least in this patch i agree jo~, you cannot rush a naked radianced and hope to win. And i play spectre btw, if you dont have a free farm trilane and you try to get a fast rad youre over man, they will rape you.
Lately im going for a weird build, i build very tanky in early with VG + drums or some like that with 1 or 2 points in dispersion.
After that PURE DAMAGE, radiance, diffusal, manta, refresher, the old deathball spectre build. Later you can replace cheap items with skady, bfly, AC, abbysal etc, build BoT and move RO to stash/courier...
But thats my way, i tried manta first and is great too, if you catch anyone alone is dead the desolate is real, and the split push capability is even better i prefer going manta and then diffusal and not the other way around cause you farm a lot faster.

I never rush radiance, i get it after a few items if it goes well. Even if its 30min in its still good for the miss.
I usually get phase-yasha-diffu-manta then if we stomp i go radiance if not ill get heart.

Recently i had been had enough on radience spectre as her first items.
This item is good if your team can give you space,if not, you will farming like shit, saving 3800 gold which reset if you died and such. In the end you will get it late around 24-30 min and that's when the enemy already had bkb + glimmer cape.
And they are much fatter than you, and won't help you farm with that shiny radience , what happens in they decimated the towers and gg they end the game.
So then i try a good effective builds, phaseboots, urn, drum, magic wand then i go manta
it's so damn good, i always managed to kill enemy supports via haunt easily, and had capability kill enemy carry.
That's something you won't achieve with radience because you then need to farm manta or taras if you want to kill enemy.
The cons was your farming route will kinda get slowed after manta.
I had try going radience after manta, it's still good but sometimes i feel it's too late when they grab bkb/glimmer and i decided to stick via manta-diffu-skadi-basher.
Really try this builds. much better than afk farming , you can haunt in , but you hardly get kill with dagger if the enemy hp still full, chasing them is kinda risky and taking to much times.
With manta you can kill any heroes anywhere.
