24-Hour Stream in General Discussion
Heathen

Hey guys. I know the Dotabuff community is full of nothing but super-helpful nice people who love to help each other, so I thought I'd mention that I'm going to stream Dota for the next 24 hours.

I'll play with friends as much as I can.

Come to the channel, flame me, spam Kappa, whatever floats your boat: http://www.twitch.tv/hardcoreheathen

      Fellow WASD user!

if you don't change your wasd habits you're fucked and pls don't stream making more people start playing like that THX

*shrug* It's comfortable for me. I know it's not the best way to do camera movement, but it works at 4k.

          BenaoLifedancer

you probably mean 4k US East or smth like that

            Abaddon

Benao why do u care that other people use wasd?

              Seoulmate

I can't watch my own replays in player perspective because of WASD lmao

                Pom Pom 🍕

Where does the wasd for camera habit come from btw? In most games I've played you move camera with mouse or arrow keys (usually both). Some games use mouse dragging instead of moving in the corners though, but that means no unit selections.

I used to play shittons of Rome: Total War and C&C. It was WASD for camera in both of those.

And yes, it is USE. I lag like shit when I play on EUW, and USW is literally worse than Peru.

WASD is just arrow keys for your left hand with mouse in your right, there's nothing really wrong with it as long as you still have hotkeys for all of your other stuff. Helps to have a mouse with extra buttons on it.

Try to set it up so that your facecam covers your hero portrait instead of the map? Its not always easy I guess

I had it over there from when I was playing Techies - I prefer it if people can't check the stream to know all the mine locations. Just forgot to move it. Thanks!

there needs to be a 24/7 twitch feed showing classic pro matches like there is for StreetFighter and StarCraft
