Yes she knows, but she doesn't really care, lots of times i tell her that i just won a close game! But she probably just does the girlfriend thing, and says " wow, i'm happy for you !:) " just cause she's expected to care about what i have to say, but doubt she cares, it's just one of my hobbies to her.

I will go through a period of like 3 days where I play DOTA non stop and don't talk to her much --> And this upsets her
So yeah it is time balancing but if I'm in a DOTA mood I can't help pressing "find match" for my 6th game of the day...
But if I'm in game she understands If I can't talk or something, I don't think that ever bothers her

well my GF understands that i like to play, and she dont mind, even if she calls and i say im in game she is not upset. she thinks that its beter than drinking in bars :), but my parents disaprove. they say i spend to much time for games and that im to old for this shit (26). but i like to play, so why wouldnt i... i finished school, i have job, social life i help around the house so why would someone forbid me to play. some friends just smile when i say that i still play dota, but evryone has his own thing right?
When I was first dating she would do the girl friend listening thing, but we have been together 10 years now so if I tell her about a game she would tell me to be quiet and that no one cares lol.
Btw I am 26 also in military with son and wife so it's still possible to play even with busy schedule if u balance things .
Well it's mostly Cuz I have adjusted to being able to function on low sleep . But lately I have been cycling which gives me more sleep. One night I play Dota after son and wife go to sleep , next night I go to bed with them early to catch up on sleep then rotate back seems to work pretty well.
My BF hates when I play Dota2, so I decided to cheat on him with my GF.
you know i'm just going to say it, most dota players lead fairly normal social lives. people want to believe in the fat gamer nerd stereotype so much because they like telling themselves they're the only gamer with social skills
My guess would be if you put 5 Dota players in a room 1 would be a fat nerd, 1 would be a skinny nerd, and 3 others would be pretty normal . No scientific basis on this just making up some shit .
only time mine gets pissed is when I go on a dota binge because I blast music and forget to pay attention to my phone :P

Told my fiance long time ago that she is no.1 and dota no.2 and dota will always be part of my life. This year marks me and Dota's +12 year anniversary. Been a tuff +10 years with many difficult patches between, but we made it through it all together. Cant wait to see what the next years will bring for us.

My wife thinks video games are a stupid waste of time but doesn't know specifically that I play dota vs any other game. She doesn't really get mad that I play cus I only play at night after kid is in bed and she is either sleeping reading or watching tv, but I can tell she'd be happier if I like read a book lol. And if I'm cranky in the morning and say I'm tired she will tell me to stop playing video games and go to bed which she is probably right I should but sometimes u just gotta end it on a win.

LOL back when we were dating when I was a teenager shed reverse me while I was playing. now the best id get if I was playing would be a tease to a reverse and then shed go away leaving me with hard dilemma on whether to abandon ;(. I quit dota for 6 years from age 19-25 if yall wondering why I only in high skill level if I played when I was a teenager.
My gf knows that I play and my friends play kinda bit too, but she doesn't really cares, she knows its just a hardcore hobby lol Too bad she can't really afford a gamer PC right now, I guess she would be into games too if she could.

Like bussines, wife, career and they are all very very happy in real life, so they spend their time in game and on forums about games cause they have amazing time management skills. @ bad intentions I don't know if she knows but I am sure she can guess since they kicked her out of every game altho this was like 8 years ago. I don't talk to her about Dota I even try to limit myself on talking about work a lot nowa days since for many years when work was really stressful with all the cuts to military I vented to her a lot. Nowa days I try to let her vent since things going pretty good for me and I pretend to care :0
