try /r/mechanicalkeyboards or geekhack, they're mech kb communities. the kbt poker is a fairly popular kb and from what i've seen (ymmv) the people that have it say that it's their work kb, and that's a 60% kb - no F row, or navigation keys (arrows + keys above).

plus if you find places that stock higher end keyboards like hhkb, realforce, leopold et cetera you'll find most of them are compacts rather than full size ones, and they're not designed for gaming, they're designed for office jobs like data entry, programming and that shit

My table is fine, and I like it. :-D

a 'gaming' mech keyboard is expensive as fck and doesn't offer anything other than flashy multi-coloured leds and custom buttons compared to a 'normal' mech

you can get crazy cheap prices if you get stuff from china, ignore the /r/mechanicalkeyboards hype about massdrop, you'll end up with a couple months delay esp if it's an international delivery

i've gotten my mech from aliexpress, it's exactly like taobao but for foreign customers

pretty much all mechanical keyboards are decent as long as you don't buy the cheapest shit and you found the switches you like - red, blue, green, white, etc.

Btw, here's some of my PC builds I had:

          That was 1090 clocked on 4000 with 8gigs of ram, HD6970 2gb..

That was beasty PC back in 2013 :)

          Here's the next rig:

          I7 870, 8gigs t1 hyperX, 5870 Crossfire(ignore 2 cross bridges, pls)

In 2013, that pc was pretty good. : p

Lately I've been selling high-end components rather then keeping them...

If you keep good high-end GPU more then 4-5 months, price drops a lot.. :)

          CAN'T WIN

also not sure how useful it is to link hhkb topre keyboards or ergodox to someone who isn't really into it

left hand abilities + items, right hand IJKL for mouse movements, such efficiency

                    4 Bet All In

ur all fucked in the head for ditching the numpad

                      muh gaming culture smh

                      Androgynous

                        ? how

you can buy standalone numpads for when you need them, and they're not in the way when you don't
how often do you use the numpad and for what? you probably don't use it frequently enought to warrant buying a full size rather than a compact keyboard that has a numpad via FN keys

a full size mech "gaming keyboard" like the k95 can be replaced by a mech numpad and a mech tkl for a similar price and function and if you really wanted you could get them backlit too, backlit mech numpads exist. and imo tkls look better than full sized although that's obviously subjective.

                        4 Bet All In

what are some good external numpads

money is not the problem, my father dont want to waste my money on gaming stuff.

So i have to buy a 12€ mouse with 2 extra buttons explaining him its for AutoCad (program for architecture).

If i buy a new keyboard i dont think he will beliebe a 100€ kb is for my studies.

                                  That one doesnt have f1 f2 f3...

try the zalman zm k500, it doesn't use cherry mx switches, but a chinese clone of them called kailh (pronounced kale) switches, which are of slightly inferior quality to genuine cherry switches but are still much better than rubber domes. just a quick google search puts them at £30-£45 which is like €45-60 or something. it's tenkeyless and there's no backlight, but i'd rather have a €50 mech keyboard than a €50 rubber dome backlit "gaming" keyboard.

and in the long run mech keyboards are cheaper, because they last years. look at the IBM model M is like a 30 year old keyboard and people still use them today. spending like €100 on a decent mech keyboard will last you much longer than say, 3x €40 rubber dome keyboards, and the feeling when you press the keys will be more consistent.

                                    in all seriousness:
                                    keycool 22 - backlit
                                    addesso 22 - only $30
filco majestouch tenkeypad (searching for just 'filco majestouch' shows keyboards btw)
                                    leopold 210tp
                                    realforce topre 23u - although i doubt you'll want it, it's $110

                                    Androgynous

if you can't find a zalman zm k500 try looking for the nixeus moda or the rapoo v500, they're all basically the same keyboard just rebranded and in different colours.

I have only Z50 with i7 laptop. That's my one and only station where I doto or do some random games
