Is it possible to copy the reborn client thing? in General Discussion

    Okay, so my net is poop, and it takes roughly 20~ hours to download 7.2 gigs with it.
    Ive tried downloading, but leaving it on overnight doesnt seem to help (It stops downloading when my pc goes on standby.)
    And the 1st day, after it finished roughly 2-3 gb, I had to shut my pc down, and when i rebooted it, the download started from 0.

    After that, I redownloaded 5gb~ and paused it to play a game of dota, but there was a 17mb update, and after that finished, Reborn was downloading from 0 again.

    Now I downloaded another 2 gb~ and after playing a bit of dota, when i resumed it, it started from 0 yet again.

    So just wondering, is it possible for me to just go to a friend's house and copy his reborn files or something? If so what do I copy exactly?

      same problem... but instead i downloaded 5GB like 10 times. I gave up, no more dota for me.

        You could turn off standby and leave it on.

        But to answer your question:I think its possible to manually copy the patch, but you'd need to find the folder that patch data goes to

          @Benao
          Id probably kill myself if I had to do that 10 times with my net speed.

          @Mooca
          My net is pretty icky. If i have downloads on, it gives my 700-800~ ping in game.
          And yea, figured.. I just have no clue where that is.

            i dont even know what standby is for (since you need to download the shit) or where it is at.

                KUKULAMIN KA BUT THE K IS...

                  Probably just get his whole dota folder to avoid crashes ;_;

                    @Benao
                    I ment my pc goes on standby if I leave it on for a while.

                    @Mid
                    Well, yea.. i kind of had to.. Didnt close it after it went the 1st time, but it still reset T-T (Paused occaisionally to be able to use the net for other things though.)

                    @GG
                    1mbps, which is 120KB/s or so.

                    @Kyle: Oh, alright. That usually causes issues i think if i dont back it up though
