B4 i started dota i was a real rude Boy. I didnt go to school and shit was drunk almost every Day. Now i finished School and got my live under control i guess i didnt Drink alcohol for past 2years

This is more true than most people think. It is easy to blame the most obvious seeming cause :)
I myself stopped dota 2 completely for 5-6 months for university and didnt touch it once. But I still found myself doing stupid things like watching TV series too much, or just browsing things online constantly. Stopping Dota helped, but that isn't what will solve the addiction :)
