Advice for you if your a 4-5 position.
They pick techies you immediately buy a tp and go to lane. Guess what you find techies before he can't get mines down in traditional spots and now they scramble.

It's a fun hero, but only for the person playing him. I win against techies more than most heroes (third best winrate against him actually), but I still hate playing against him since it's not dota anymore. You're playing some sort of minefield game where you have to delay core items for a gem that you can potentially lose on death.

No clue but I always have good luck catching techies before they get where they want. If techies do not get some early kills they will feel useless beyond belief.

Tech best hero if played well. Not because he is OP but pubs dont have enough team work to deal with Techies.

Yeah, that sums up all of it.
Aah you think the mines were placed randomly. If you are right then it was a low skill player playing. Techies. People that know how to play techies place the mines in logical pattern, that might appear random but it is not.
Basically anywhere of importance
Don't forget your jungle

Best way to counter early techie is by picking summoned unit heroes. Like chen enchantress enigma or buy hero that gets early HoD to make the unit blow up/scout red mines. To counter late game techie (green mines) its a gem + ranged heroes. Get this and you wont have to spend 5kg for sentries.

That aghs upgrade is crap. I had no problem with him cause Early Gem easy win, but now he can hide them behind a sign.

This game worked just like I recommended our support beat techies to early locations and then techies was scrambling to find valid mine placements. His team even flamed him in all chat instantly since he was useless for a long time until base defense.
