The thing I can't understand why some guys easily get in very high skill after 3-4 games on account.
Btw it's hard to keep winning when one guy picks lifestealer on mid, another has 0-12 on 10th minute and so on
And still, some people manage to win even in these conditions. Some people are better at carrying scrubs then others, that's why not everyone is "Very High".
hero damage also matters, i checked like 10 of your games, and in none of those you have the highest hero damage,
even with ember in 50 min game you have less hero damage than techies.
You have to get like 25 kills with very high kda or high hero damage. Look at my first games, I stomp them completely and go straight to vhs-bracket after 2 games. Try to stomp your future games as hard and you can. Also, slark seems to be working out for you, so keep on playing that particular hero and you might get into a higher skill bracket.
Ur first game u got crushed ur next games u didnt do pretty well low gpm low dmg lowxpm dont tell me ur supp or anything u played ember and dk and u were winning lol very low lh hd td xpm gpm and u get stomped at ur first game lol imo u dont deserve very high yet kda and wr means nothing since i can get huge kda by running from fights or ksing / playing for assists and 50% wr isnt high btw
It's probably not on your hero damage or kda per se, it's your hero damage compared to an average user of the same hero.
One time, there's this one poster here that brags about being in VH bracket even if having like 30% win clip?
http://www.dotabuff.com/players/169880731
But his first 2 games are somewhat out of the norm for an average player.
His 1st game: http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/567177600
Lost, but contributed for 9.1k damage out of team's 16.8k, pretty high for a "support" Lina
2nd game: http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/567192879
Win, 2nd highest damage and 2nd in kills, again using Lina, and he's prolly the only one warding there based on team composition
after that, he kind of sucked, but still not being removed from VH bracket
If you can replicate what he did (impress out of first 2 games with an uncommon hero), then even if you get a 30% win clip out of your first 100, you can still be at VH, like the player i mentioned.
my take!
For your first few games on a new account the system looks at more then just wins and losses to determine what skill bracket to place you in. the thing that is most important is doing a lot of hero damage, but KDA, tower damage, GPM, XPPM, last hits and actually winning also have an impact. After you get placed the only thing that matters is winning or loosing each game. If you want to get into a higher bracket on this account you will need to grind the wins out the hard way. 50% win rate will only cause you to say in the same place you are in now. even with a 60% win rate it would take someone on the highest end of the normal bracket about 120 games to get into very high. (and keep in mind that normal skill starts at the equivalent of 0 mmr so you could be no where near the higher end, the only way to find out is to calibrate your rank, or win until you hit the high bracket)
If you start a new account you will need to have a higher impact on your first few games to get placed into a higher bracket, you will also need to win at least 50% of your games to maintain that bracket once you get there. since you only have 50% in normal this means that you will need to play better then you do now or you will loose a lot of games and fall right back into the normal bracket.

At the moment, at this account I am in normal skill bracket.
Winrate 50%, average KDA>3, not sure about hero damage because there is no (?) such feature here.
I browsed some recently made accounts here, and some people play 2-3 games (not always with better results than me) and then get in to upper skills brackets.
Not quite sure, but when I look at their games before going up from usual it's nothing special.
Anyway, what KDA, winrate and herodamage should I have to be in games ranked higher?
