God dang i didn't even watch the final i looked at the match times and guessed 5 man deathball pushes all games, and that's what happened. This is prob the first Ti finals where you could tell what happened each game without watching ZZZZZZZZZ
I already knew the Ti finals would be a lame farm/deathball fest when 2 china teams made it, then again even if EG made it, you can tell they would be wrecked by the newbee deathball pushes anyway, with rtz going midas while vici takes 10 min rax...

I think I build it up too much nevertheless from the teams playing threw the pick to how this game was played out I still think was a disappointment. I hoped at least for some interseting strats esp after ROTK said they had something special prepared (carry/push necro what I was hoping for) instead same picks that the didnt even execute perfectly (honestly if you pick same heros I expect you to play them like bulldodge but nope)

Every game with a 100% Chinese team features literally the same picks, same bans, same strategy. Just the same deathball meta 24/7. This isn't good e-sports and definitely not good dota.

Format was underwhelming... Knowing that you are in the Grand final on Thursday has no drama at all.
The top 16 teams earned the right to compete, but too many were eliminate too quickly.
The 15-20 minute gg is a serious problem, it has no entertainment value.
Last year, love them or hate them Na'Vi and Alliance had the most drama and excitement.

Guys can you all please realize that this was the worst TI finals INDEED? I mean first two games from both teams were amazing but honestly, no direct counterpick to a brewmaster that you know he will go mid and also farm? What the fuck is this, everyday dota? You are playing for 5 millions, GET SERIOUS!!! For me the grand finals outcome was somehow set-up and Sam NOBODY hates 4-protect-1, 5 man deathball, push-strategy dota because it's amazingly entertaining and you never know who will win in the end. On the other hand ratdota is all time boring and toxic (magina, furion,syllabear are amongst the most hated ones for me). There is no excuse or understanding for why Vici Gaming chose to do the same shit picks three times to ensure its defeat. On the other hand yesterday games with VG vs EG were much more interesting. I believe if VG used more push strategy or didn't throw the game intentionally for some mysterious reason then everything would be fine.

I know far less about dota and especially pro dota scene than most of the posters here but maybe that validates my opinion as a casual viewer. I disliked the games cus they were completely one sided stomps and really all came down to drafts. Every team that lost, even the first one that newbee lost, seemed to be an aggressive, pickoff orientated draft and the other side just calmly picked a bunch of anti pickoff heroes like puck, brew, etc. Like fine you want to pick us off, we'll just tank the dmg and 5 man you every time. That part wasn't boring but overall it was way too hyper aggressive drafts and then it seemed like they just fucking gave up. I mean someone else said it, one rax in four games. That's pathetic. There's no way in hell you should gg 15 mins into a match when the difference is $4,000,000.
I don't know if you can blame the teams though. All four games one teams draft was far superior and it resulted in a huge lead. It's their fault but it's also the nature of dota. I do blame them for calling gg before even losing t2s many times. That's lame.
I guess I was hoping for more closely contested games like when EG knocked out Alliance. That was a sweet match.
