Jungling Terrorblade - how to do it & is it worth it ? in General Discussion
Humanoids

I've watched Matrice games as TB in jungle. He always goes 3 Wraith Bands. I don't like this concept - buying 3 dead end items. I've tried going QB into Aquilla into Bracer (building later into drums) into Power Treads & it takes me around 9:30min, which feels quite "meh". Is there a way to do it faster & is my build good ?

    Matwoj

Build 3 wraith bands because clearly it works?

      Flat is Justice!

he prolly goes 3 bands to max his 6 slots early

        Hopeless

TB farms so god damn fast that the money invested in getting yourself online may gain enough time of productivity to warrant the loss of gold.

          matrice

            Concede summed it pretty well.

Also, especially if wood, you shouldn't buy power tread on tb.
Drum is alwell a bad item for wood tb, cause nothing from it increase significantly your farm till you get it.

bands are the most cost-efficient early, and multiplied in terms of effectiveness by quelling blade

you just want to kill creeps faster

              Hopeless

                @ matrice

why do you not get manta?

                Pilot

How do you do it then/what are your item progressions?

                  sleave

if you are splitpushing i think you should get manta

what i like to build is BoT Skadi Manta, the rest depends
but most of ppl go for SnY, Manta etc, it all comes down to your playstyle, matrice like to fights while zenoth is more of a splitpusher, watch their games and you'll get a good notion of how to play the guy

                    Ples Mercy

                      @Concede:
it's prefrence. You can get manta if you want to, i do that for myself for example.

Matrice likes building s&y on his heroes, he seems to prefer the rather cheap s&y, high movementspeed and loves the slow + tankyness the items give you. Also when he plays TB he doesn't play a RAT TB but more a fighting & pushing TB, whereas i play TB has the biggest RAT asshole.

been practice the jungle TB in bot games.

Starting medium camp is really important it seems. Sometimes i get screwed pretty hard and it slows things down by two minutes or so. Hard to know when to intentionally die to creeps and when to pop first metamorph.

                        Dire Wolf

You start jungle at lvl 1? How do u do this?

                          Luxon

Sometimes it's better to take hard camp. Almost everything is more cost-efficient than killing a centaur camp unless it's gonna kill you(especially satyrs)

                            Hopeless

most hard camps rape TB at level 1 it seems. ..

                              @mark

you go 3 slippers and 1 circlet to start, kill a camp with illusion and hopefully a second camp if you can, then you intentionally die after purchasing your quelling blade.

jungle out 3 wraith bands, then brown boots. at that point you are full on farm mode. build is 0/4/4/0

there's only 1 single hard start
Starting ogre, followed by centaure spawn (In radiant, ogre are even more annoying, considering it's very hard to stack them).

Alll other start are fine, special mention to wolfs, this is the best first camp for tb (followed pretty closly by satyre)

                                Hopeless

really? i find ogres to be a relatively easy start... Finally played a real match with it and won.
                                  http://dotabuff.com/matches/740000087

Was happy with my 7.5k tower damage. Felt 650 gpm was a bit low. We were "losing" the start because clinkz soloed and od/dazzle didn't really get that i wanted to early tower push, and zeus started 0/3, but I was able to push in their tier 2 bottom to equalize the bleeding, and a solid moonlight shadow initiation pushed things in our favor.

Anyway i was happy when my first camp was ogre. I find the hardest is centaurs, followed by wolves... What am doing wrong on my starts matrice? Also, because of the way the camps when, Ogre first then golem, i walked bake rather than suiciding for my queling blade and first wraith band recipe... didn't want to waste 120 gold....

and the hard camps are all kinda shit before level 3... worst is birds... so much damage.

As far as manta vs S&Y goes, I find myself liking S&Y more for several reasons... extra health, faster move speed, the maim... but in truth the real reason is that since TB's illusions last longer than manta... i find the manta illusions annoying and clumsy to micro in comparison... they just sorta throw my micro/mana grove off.
