wait till you finish your placement matches and get into regular matchmaking (The worst is 3k+ rating players)

It helps a lot that you have friends on Dota to aid you in learning the game. Otherwise you would not be finding the community so great I don't think. However it is a case that once your comfortable with, and can have fun with friends on, the game you can rise above the toxic people in the community. That mute button is truly special.

So after playing a few games I got to say the community has been great. They have been really friendly, help out noobs rather than flaming. I'm feeling this game is better just on the community when compared to LoL. I use play on 100% LOL but community has steered me here, after my friends convinced me to play here.
