The team invites were damn near perfect. The only slightly questionable one was newbee.
It as 4 from EU, 4 china, 2 US, and 1 SEA for invites.
as for brackets, that is why losers bracket exists.
Lastly, everyone her seems to be forgetting what happened at star ladder lan. DK shit stomped everyone and IG did very well considering their constant internal bullshit.
You should not be concerning yourself with the euro teams being in teh same bracket (is that even the case, i didnt look). DK, IG, EG an C9 are not a joke
Brackets are quite balanced, and any team that goes there should be capable of winning anyway. Also Dog is tier 2 at worst.
Team Dog won Empire few days ago so they are tier 1 in my opinion. Also Newbie questinable? Concede? You serious? They beated DK 4-5 days ago.
NewBee is pretty much TongFu with xiao80k. But about Dogma, they just started playing together.
Not really. That team is like 2+2+1 which doesn't seem that good but since both duos have one core and one support, it's actually pretty easy for them to work together.
@Concede are you serious? newbee has been playing really good. Not sure what kind of weed you are smoking or you aren't watching chinese dota.
Newbee were questionable because they are a newly formed team that has had a seriously unstable roster since formation. They have been playing well, and are most certainly a top tier team, but the instability of the roster on a newly formed team really does make it questionable to give them a direct invite to the most important tournament of the year, some 2 months before it happens.

Why are they including brackets again? 2 teams of 8 etc... Only thing I can see this does is it protects 8 teams from 2 overly aggressive team. I mean like having Navi, DK, Empire and Alliance in same bracket in TI2 & TI3 really just screws up the other teams, who woulda been in 7rd or 8th place anyways if it was just 1 bracket and round robin. Just imagine all tier 1 teams on 1 bracket and all tier 3 like zephyr and team dog on another. Does that mean Zephyr get 2nd or 3rd place in TI4 solely cuz of bracket luck and being top in their shitty bracket?
I mean sure it gives a better game with Navi vs. Alliance, but on the flip side we got 2-4 suckier teams that would never even make it in the radar appear good in the other bracket. They are eliminated anyways once Navi or Alliance hits loser bracket anyways.
Also allows for corruption, bribery & cherry picking teams. I mean they don't even disclose how they randomize the teams on the bracket etc...
