Are you saying you have never had a bad day? I personally pride myself on being able to outlane trilanes or 1v1 lanes but somehow managed to lose my lane to a nyx the other day and went 0-10 as a dragon knight just cause I was so damn tired.

SnY - break down for manta and halberd so you have evasion as well as all the added benefits, plus it costs less.

SnY and Manta on TB is not bad. Eventually you will swap out SnY for some other item. You could just disassemble it to finish Manta though.

That Medusa player you linked was garbage. Even when they did appear to farm ancients successfully, they were a total non-factor in fights. Barely 1 or 2 kills in any of the games.

Agreed on havoc, you cant avoid a bad day/ bad game. Turn off dota and just read a book or watching movie is better idea.

also midas is questionable when u can just get drums or sny and then rotate into jungle while farming 8-10 cs/minute if u have good illusion micro

I completely understand, which is one of the reason I have played maybe 5-8 games of solo queue beyond my calibration is because I am just far to fearful of being left to the vast wasteland of bad players. I can almost guarantee that either on your team or the enemies there will be someone fucking up and being a d-bag but this is the game. You (unlikely) will never have a perfect game where all 10 players are upstanding and good at the game all round and pick well, that almost doesn't happen.

I think you were just dealt a rough hand and honestly some of them may not have been that bad. Be honest with yourself had you won those games, the builds and plays wouldn't have mattered but it because they were lost that these things are amplified. Usually I take a break after an aggressive loss due to idiots because whether I like it or not I am already on edge and the next game I will almost instantly find something wrong with someones build or lane and it will tear the game down.

Not saying their good but attitude and emotional reaction do play a part in this and to reinforce my statement that had you won all those games, this post never would have been made.

You can flame all you want, but at least look at your own replays and look at yourself playing not as well as you thought you would. Solo Ranked isn't a place where you can wish to depend on your teammates to win, until you are convinced so, you'll never improve

u are right about everything havoc badger, but how do i know it's 1-2 retards messing up the game? it's simple really.

i just duo queued several games in the past week or so (played like 9 games, won all but 1 of them, and in the one loss we had a pudge who was upset his mid was stolen so he fed couriers and went something like 2-40 so it shouldn't even count, but whatever). whoever i'm queueing with, we don't do ursa/wisp or anything gay/retarded like that; in fact we don't even lane together, so it's essentially the same shit as solo queue. the only difference is that 2 queuing = 1 fewer slot for a potential retard.

and honestly that's all i fucking need sometimes just to win a game.

if i'm duo-queuing with players who range from 4.2-5.1k MMR, while I myself am playing between 4.7-4.9k MMR solo (so I'm playing, on average, with people slightly better than me just as often as people slightly worse than me) on the account I mainly solo queue with, then I know it's 1-2 retards who aren't doing their jobs (not getting sent/dust against invis heroes, basic shit like that you would think everyone would know past 4k). i haven't watched my own replays, and i'm not implying i don't make mistakes, but i'm utterly disgusted at the sight of these low skill trashcans.

now, don't mistaken this as me complaining about my MMR. I would like to be 5k, but i'm not; currently playing between 4.7-4.9k (on the account I solo queue with mainly now, I'm a bit lower on other accounts where I don't pick my best heroes consistently), and that's fine with me. i'm not complaining about the MM either, but about the sheer volume of low skilled players around, which no MM system can possibly fix.

to address the last point brought up, "there are trashcans on the other team too." well, thank fucking god for that, i can't imagine staying sane if all the trashcans were heaped onto my team all the time. if the trashcans are on the other team i won't bother posting their names here cuz they weren't matched with me.

anyways i will continue to update the list with venomous comments attached afterwards, this is better than me private messaging Steam friends and whining to them about solo queue (they're probably sick of it anyways).

i've played anywhere from 4250 to 4900 since ranked came out, and i haven't noticed any significant difference now i think about it. the people "stuck" in the 4.7-4.9 MMR range are just there because they pick TB/Ember Spirit/Phx/other broken heroes more often. mechanically speaking they are not necessarily better and maybe marginally better in terms of awareness/moving around the map efficiently.

whereas in sub 4.5k brackets people still pick heroes they want to play for fun, gotta give them credit for not being scumbags i guess.

Because I'm not planning on going pro or anything, why should I bother? However if I see retards on my team I immediately lose motivation and what I usually do is end up muting everyone (including the other team, which is also trash and I don't want to hear the all-chat and bragging about how they are "good" or "commend me" type of bullshit when THEY ARE ALSO RETARDED/BAD AS FUCK) and trying to play 1v5. It doesn't work usually but when it does, my teammates get the same +25 as I do. Feels great, doesn't it?

Frankly if I see that kind of shit again ("ancients medusa," "support pudge," etc.) I'm probably going to throw the game right off the bat to save myself some trouble. Cliff jungling Prophet sounds like a good way to ruin a game quickly.

no MM is a value on how they well they play in pubs therefore if they are the same MM as you they play at a equal level as you in pubs. This is why some pros are fairly low in terms of MM because they play poorly in a pub environment.

sampson, i'm pretty sure all but 1 of the people i listed above had lower mmr than me by at least 250 points. so even assuming what you said is true, i still have the privilege of calling them garbage.

speaking of which, if volvo got rid of -ap and replaced it with -cm/-cd (maybe -rd) only i'm sure all the tb/phoenix/ember/invoker pickers would drop 500 mmr at least, hopefully that gets implemented soon

(as for the 5k player, he picked ursa when they had pa/terrorblade/ember which is just asking to get slaughtered)

xan when are u going to play, i failed to get 5k solo but 5k party should be easy at this rate. i've been randoming trash heroes like kotl and still winning lol, everyone in the 4k bracket is so awful/ez to win against when i'm not paired with 4 retards

and how would i post a SS einstein, it's not like replays provide MMR endscreen stats. not that you care anyways (or think i'm lying, HAHA holy fuck), but all the players except the guy who's 5k are all between 4.1-4.4k, while the account I only play solo queue on is 4663.
