Icarus Dive in Chrono in General Discussion
J-Man

Yeah I just got back from a game in which when our void used his ultimate, my dive went straight through the chrono like it was nothing.

Should that be normal or what?

    Szotyi3

      Yes it is.

Btw, D2P made a 3 part "Did you know" video about this hero, i think they mentioned this aswell.

no it should not be possible. its not in d1 icarus is considered as a move - chrono should block it like cogs.

        Androgynous

It might be a bug, I'm testing multiple heroes who have movement abilities and whether they're blocked by Chrono

          • Magnus - cannot Skewer through Chronosphere, RP can move units who are trapped in Chronosphere e.g. if you RP someone on the edge of Chrono, RP can move them out of it. If mid-skewer during a Chrono, will not continue the skewer when Chrono ends.

          • Clockwerk - cannot Hookshot through Chronosphere, units inside Chronosphere can still be moved by Cogs if Clockwerk creates Cogs from outside and they spawn on top of an enemy hero, and can also drag people out of Chronosphere if you create Cogs close enough to a hero on the edge to pull them inside the Cogs (that are outside Chrono)

          • Morphling - can Waveform through Chronosphere

          • Earth Spirit - can kick people on the edge of Chronosphere and they will move the full distance, cannot pull heroes out of Chronosphere. Units kicked into Chronosphere will stop moving at the edge of the Chronosphere, ES cannot roll through the sphere with Rolling Boulder, Remnants behave normally.

          • Spirit Breaker - cannot charge through Chronosphere, if SB ults someone and gets Chronoed, at the end of the Chrono he will recast his ultimate, rather than continuing the animation where it left off.

          • Timbersaw - Will stop moving due to Timber Chain if he makes contact with the sphere.

          • Slark - If Slark gets in range of the sphere via Pounce, he will stop moving, and at the end of the Chrono, will not continue the pounce.
If Slark is already moving and gets Chronosphered, when Chrono ends, he will perform another pounce, so it's possible for him to move over 700 units (the distance of 1 Pounce)

          • Storm Spirit - can Ball Lightning through Chronosphere

          • Mirana - If Mirana leaps into Chronosphere, at the end of it she will remain where she is. If she is already leaping and gets Chronoed, the leap will continue when Chrono ends.

          • Tusk - Can snowball into a unit inside Chronosphere and will not be paused until the snowball hits. Can snowball through the chronosphere onto a unit outside of it.

          • Sand King - If SK targets a Burrowstrike to a target that is Chronosphered, he will still reach the target, instead of stopping at the edge.

I think it's a bug/inconsistency on Phoenix's end. The stuff that do go through Chronosphere are pseudo-blinks that also incorporate invulnerability. Icarus Dive does not, and every other movement ability that does not involve invulnerability is stopped by Chronosphere.
