i've run into maybe 2-3 account buyers since ranked came out. the most blatant cue is when they are not even getting the basics down properly (luna with 2 points in beam, 2 points in glaive, 2 points in +dmg passive by level 6 in one of my games 2 months ago) and they have something dismal like 20% win rate over the last 50 games.
anyways i'm not 5k mmr (I was 4.9k 3 days ago then tanked back to 4700-4800) but this is generally where the account buyers are going for. 5k accounts are probably the highest in demand because they're not exorbitantly expensive while still giving 3k players what they want to "experience," from which I can only conclude is getting carried by people far beyond their caliber
korok is complete ass, he fed 1-6 invoker in my game with 25 min phase/force staff, do u think beating a former washed up TI professional (let's not forget that group consists of the likes of HANNAH_MONTANA who also lost me 1-2 games in ranked matchmaking) means anything? i've won against plenty of people much higher rated than me and also lost to plenty of people lower rated than me. pubs mean almost nothing.
Pubs dont mean anything, Nor does the rating. This is why I ask if its necessary to even have. Valve could of literally made features and benefits for people of all kinds that play dota. Yet its still a pile of community trash making people get along with low priority and auto mute systems.

Valve only has to make the areas of interest and people will go and not go to those areas that please them. Its not hard, and for them to not do it really shows they have no real Humanistic values.

i mean if u didn't care (and based on the evidence presented i'm like 95% sure you bought an account with higher MMR than what you were able to attain through your own play) then that's fine, there are plenty of players sitting in the 2k/3k/4k brackets who just don't give 2 fucks, but buying an account and then saying "well it doesn't mean anything anyway" just sounds dumb and illogical
