The new patch :D in General Discussion
XoD^

    This was pretty much the only thing i was interested in the new patch :D, So Imma post it.

    ~Ranked matchmaking will no longer accept parties with an extremely large MMR spread.
    ~Ranked parties difference can't be larger than 2000.

    Matchmaking Strings:
    Users are now required to play a certain number of matches before trying their hand at Ranked Matchmaking. If they do not have enough game history, they are asked to play more unranked matches before giving a shot at Ranked.
    A warning message is now added when one more more players from the party does not have enough gameplay history to estimate their skill in ranked matchmaking.
    If party members are too far apart in their Ranked Party, they are no longer allowed to participate in Ranked Matchmaking.

        2000...were there people actually stacking with guys 2000 points lower than them? WHY?!

        Hopeless

          some people have friends.

          some people want easy ranked games.

              i dont get this(english is not my mother tongue so there is something i am missing).

              -they will be asked to play more unranked... so for ex if i have 300 matches with 20 being ranked would i be required to play more unranked games in order to recalibrate? Or is this applied only for new accounts that level up with bots and then go straight to ranked?(in order to get a high mmr by using an exploit)

                Was in a game where one guy is 4.2K mmr and buffing his 2.1k friend. We lost but really not fair with that guy at least 1k over all over. Now if they are reduce smurf accounts. Say drop -10 mmr per week that accounts with less than 500 games played.

                  @Zano,

                  Iirc there was a picture of a game where one team was full of upper 3k and lower 4ks vs a 5 man party of a bunch of 5k-6ks + 1 guy with 51 mmr.
                  The 1 guy with 51 mmr (Obviously someone who threw games and got like 1 mmr to buff his friends mmrs in party ranked) would lower his teams average mmr to a point where the enemy team simply cant do shit. Since they're all 4ks facing a 5man team of 5k-6ks..
                  And this update would atleast prevent that one abuse from ranked i guess..

                  @Raspha,

                  Afaik, its to prevent the use of battlebonus + Co-op/TMM to get level 13 with no real games or so, causing your ID to have a very high uncertainty rating during your ranked calibration matches.
                  It won't affect you, dw.

                    2k is waaaaay too much! Maximum should be ~500 in ranked. With 2k the only thing they can achieve, is prevent people from making 2k- accounts to boost their 5k friends (Ex: 5k player playing a 2k account).

                        Its a start. :3
                        And Matchmaking already pairs you with 1k~ mmr varied allies if you wait long enough in que.
                        And 2k+ mmr varied randoms if you're like 6k mmr. (As seen from RTZ, waga, etcs streams.)

                        @Luxon
                        You could just play unranked instead.. o-o

                        6_din_49

                          Yeah, but unless you're 5k+, the only reason you get players with 1k mmr bellow is because someone stacks in the other team.
