Most people find it retarded and think it doesn't fit the hero, but still a lot of people want it even if they are not gonna use it because it's rare and expensive. HUMAN LOGIC BROS.
Well it was pulled out of the store because people didn't think it fit Ursa. I can agree with that but it's so rare and amazing, very jealous
I saw this 3-4 times in all of my games, I never flipped out because its a sucky set. Iron bear common set is much prettier...
But people flip out when they see a item say "immortal"... -.-

Collectors don't care what vanity items look like, just how rare they are.
They try to convince themselves that courier effects are immensely beautiful and worth thousands of dollars, but in reality its just a simple particle effect. Similarly, this set looks stupid, but it is rare and so people will spend a lot for it.
Unlike physical collectibles alike comic books however, these items do not belong to the account user. They are the property of valve and you simply hold the right to have them on your account, which also belongs to valve. And in about... maybe 10-15 years, dota's servers will be relegated to a select few (or none at all) and these items will be worth nothing.
