Should someone who exclusively plays high impact mid heroes have higher solo mmr than someone who exclusively plays hard support? in General Discussion

Given they are of equal skill and play on the same server.

The support players in professional teams almost always have a lower rank than their teammates so one could probably say that, yes. The difference should not be that great though.

The question was not if they do, it was "Should they."
I think that your MMR change after each game should be influenced by tower damage, hero damage, k/d/a, wards purchased and placed, player commends and reports, and similar things to this, rather than a flat +-25 or so. You should be able to mitigate the loss of an unwinnable game by playing well. You should be punished when you do not contribute to the game or when you get reported for flaming.

Yes, hard to explain in not so many words but they will probably. Support can still maintain a respectable rating at least party wise.

Yes , in most cases that is true. You simply don't have big impact ( read late game ) to be able to do then something.

About that ward purchased. On dlg most of the user used to fountain camp and buy sentry ( read v-god and wayne ) and inflate their records. But that would be awesome thing to make it possible, but so easy to use it in wrong purpose.

Yes, it is 100% true. Same goes for hardcarry. Both is way harder to play on soloque, cause you depend in both cases on your mates. As hardcarry you need support to ensure farm, as support you need a carry that actually farms. With lack of communication and esp bad picks its hard to achieve.
