Recently I've played Weaver over and over. It gets better as more I play her. I've always played Weaver in the offlane, but I know I can catch up in farm as the time goes.
So yes, obvisouly it helps. If you play same hero 100 times in a row, do you think you've not achieved anything?
but is it possible to understand how a hero works more? and practicing is close to increasing your skill level, so you are better with that hero. I just dont know if it would help me to play heroes of different positions many times to play them better, i mean how does that pirate guy play so much sk mostly only him at high levels, and can still hold his on with other heroes once in a while

Personally i think that its great to know how to play a lot of heroes, but some heroes like tinker and invoker requires a lot of games

Well I'm pretty sure that Invoker play after 20 games would be much better than playing Invoker for the first time.

I started with QE too, but it was long ago and i got bored at invoker ( probably because i was terrible with him ) Anyway i have tinker already and he is pretty hard too so ...
but yeah everytime i start with a new hero i try to play him with bots first

I havnt played mirana, Melody threw games to drop my winrate with her and I havnt bothered to play her since
i played invoker for a half-day (a few weeks ago) but the result is win lose win lose win lose win lose , no progress, even though i played invoker for a hundred times, it all depends on the teamwork, i admit it that my invoker is not good as iceiceice, grimorum,etc .but at least i know how to use him properly :/
Playing a hero over and over in a single sitting keeps it fresh in your mind and increases your comfort with that hero as the games go on.

I found the higher my winrate goes with drow the lower my KDA goes. I end up like 0-3-0 by mid game then 6-3-0 by the time I have their rax at 25mins

Kinda fun cause I did the exact same thing.
When I tried Invoker for first time I was like "wtf am I supposed to remember all this". Had to check for every time I was gonna change spell, etc..
Picking heroes such as Invoker, Meepo and those very high-skill required heroes will usually ruin others games if you dont go practise them.

Can anyone here prove that playing same heroes in a row helps you increase in skill level? I happen to notice some pros do it, and was wondering if it works in getting better at the game, and not just at that particular hero you are grinding atm.
