Better internet should be a solution. I don't know about you but that's how it is for me.
Mbit per second has nothing to do with ping. Ping means responstime and can fluxuate up and down depending on a multiple of factors. and dendi can never play with 30 ping overt the ocean its simply not possible for light to travel that fast. Before i go on and on about physics and the math behind this let me give you a solid tip to fix it.

I don't think my ping is bad, my ping was 160-170 on US east since I remember. I only have 30-40 on Brasil.
WTFast was my friend not long ago when dota2 started to work bad at least for me, 250ms on Brasil but WTFast solved the problem. Now dota2 is working fine and I don't need WTFast.
But even with WTFast or other program like this, I still have 160-170ms on US east. When I change 3mb-10mb I tought that maybe US east would be at least better but no, same exactly ping than my older net.
Playing with 160ms is not good if you're playing puck or invoker, so I'm fucked up, I think the level is better there but the delay play against me and even more if you're playing vs better player or same skills and he's playing with 30ms.
160ms ping is fine. I would go into Counterstrike matches confidently with that ping. It's only when it's 500-1kms that you need to worry.

I was wondering something about ping in dota2. Better internet means better ping?, before with 3mb/s I was playing with 165ms on US east, now I've 10mb/s and my ping is still the same, 165ms.
I can't play there with 70-40ms?, watching replays sometimes Dendi plays on US east and he don't have any lag, he plays like he has 30ms. Yes, you can play with 165ms, but is a HUGE difference to 30ms, and even more if you are playing a hard hero.
So, better internet isn't a solution?, with 10mb/s I have the same than before, It would be awesome to play on US east with no lag at all.
