If you queue ranked in a party it's team mmr. If you queue solo it's solo mmr.
I don't know the specifics about how mmr matchmaking works.

Ranked games are meant to be serious. How can a game be taken seriously when one player is massively out-skilling all of the others?
I agree in higher tier just one player who is sub par can ruin an equally matched game. Just like how game could be decided by 1 player who decides to not involve himself in 5v5 team fights a few times, or an overly aggressive CM.
Dude ur lying as fuck =)) the only way a low mmr guy get in your party at 5 k mmr for example is when his friend might have 6 k mmr and he does have 4 k . If you don't bellieve me then just pay attention on the scoreboard on the end of the game and u will see what i'm talking about.

how does valve do matchmaking shit I'm personally juggling around 5k-5.2k mmr cause of throwers and retards and 3.5k mmr people getting into my game just because they queued with a lesser retard who has 4.4k

and people say mmr doesnt mean shit, it really does though... like you can see the little things they miss
and if you queue in a party (even if its just 2 people) does it still count towards team mmr?
