Hi folks. Since I have some expirience and over 370 games with SF, I decided to make this.

    Let's get started!

    Pros:

    *Good farmer
    *Good pusher
    *Have high dps
    *Have good AOE ult

    Cons:

    *Squishy
    *Takes time to master him
*Not so good at taking dmg.
    *No escape ability

I sugest you to start prac. SF with bots, or at least don't go mid if you can't handle it. SF is very squishy hero, and can die very fast by a lot of heroes.

I won't spend time talking about his abilites, because I belive everyone who likes SF knows basics about him.

The most common mistakes I've seen on SF is: going on feeding-spree only because you died once.

You must realise that SF is very squishy, and because of that he can die very easy. You must be calm. Don't blame your teammates!

If someone don't want to buy wards(even if it's his job), you should do it! The key of good SF is wards at both sides of the river.

You need good rune control and good vision.

Keep in mind that Shadow Fiend is great ganker, but you should not gank all the time, and not always.

Sometimes, it's better to stay at mid and farm, take tower if you have good vision and if you already got FB-ed your enemy.

SF likes gold. Try to have at leasy 40-45 CS until 10 min mark.

Some tips if you're lanning against Pudge:

Ward his side of mid-lane. Don't rush bottle, and don't spend all gold that you have at start. First item vs Pudge is not bottle, its boots!

When you have boots at min 1 or max 2, you can easly kill and escape pudge. U should have Bottle and boots, if you don't spend all starting gold till 3:20-4:00 min mark.

What you should not do with SF:

    1. DON'T GANK, if you have NO VISION!
    2. DON'T GO ON FEEDING SPREE!
    3. DON'T LET THEY GANK AND KILL YOU THAT EASY!
    4. DON'T USE YOUR ULTIMATE UNTIL LVL 11, AND TRY NOT TO USE ULT. TO KILL ONLY ONE PERSON!

They key of winning mid with SF is good creep-block and understanding of what you have to do.

Don't just wait for creep to be on low hp, so you can last-hit him. Use free time to harras the enemy, to turn the aggro , or to check runes.

When you gank, keep in mind not to try to raze your enemy at all cost. Sometimes, good-old auto-attacks will be just better then tryin' to aim raze when you can't! Try to use last raze(longest one) only if you are out of range!

Don't do stupid select-hero razes! It's wrong and you won't be able to do it everytime! You need to learn how to trow razes without clicking on a hero.

    FAQ:

When should I go BKB? When you're facing against a lot of stunners

SB or Dagger? Depedns of your team and of you. If you think you will have some awesome enigma, ES or Kunnka in your team, go Dagger. If you wanna go more solo, go SB.

Phase-boots vs Treads? Just go treads. SF needs attack speed and he NEEDS that 8 STR gain.

Sange&Yasha vs Manta? I will always take S&Y over manta if my team is winning and I can have it under 20 min mark, and if I already have SB and Treads. Manta is more late-game item, great for pussing towers and dealing with stunners.

Madness on SF? I find it useful, but you must no what are you doing with it! Great combo is madness+Sange, but then again, try not to go madness if you don't have bkb.

Etheral blade on SF? Against Juggernout, Terrorblade, Riki, Ursa - great item.

    Some of my builds:

    High DPS SF:

    BKB/Madness/ShadowBlade/Manta/Dadelus

    Tenky SF with nice DPS:

    ShadowBlade/Treads/Sange-yasha/Assoult Currias/Buterrfly/Satanic

    Semi-carry SF: Dagger/Hex/Dagon/Force/Etheral Blade

    Farming goals:

    4:30 - Boots/bottle
    10:30 - boots/bottle/SB-dagger
    12:30 - Treads/bottle/SB-dagger
    18:00-20 - Tredas/bottle/SB-DAGGER/BKB or S&Y

Thats all. I hope it will help someone. Add me on Steam: Moonlightftw - if you need any help, or if you want to play with me.
