Though i prefer to do this, I don't see how this necessarily equates to winning games.
The idea behind this is that the MMR threshold of people in your games will be lower, or in other words, all players in the match will have an MMR closer to your own.
In theory this means that players on your team wont be much better or much worse than you, and visa versa. For a player like gamburger with high MMR who appears to only play in parties with other high ranked MMR players, this avoids having players with very low MMR on his team that would balance out a match against another team with slightly lower but still respectable MMR averages.
This really wont make much of a difference for most players however. I choose to do this because atm, I believe i am in a relatively low MMR bracket, and am able to win more often than not against people in my games. I rather be against people my MMR, than risk having one person on the other side be a higher mmr...
Anyway, point is this is good advice if you are very high MMR and in party with 1-3 other high MMR players. It doesn't make much of a difference if you are 3.8-4.5k mmr and solo queuing.
im talking about solo queue. even at 5k+ i haven't had to wait over 10 minutes for a game to pop and i let the queue go to 2m30s the highest, then just requeue.
i mean people are crying that you get noobs and so on, theoretically this way you should be matched with people of similiar skill.
I actually avoid games found in few seconds. My experience was, that those are most unbalanced for some reason or just bad luck.
