it was 54k and a a large portion of that went to housing, flights etc. NO real team went to the tournament because it was not worth the cost. Blitz grabbed Purge last min to fill a slot and took him because there is no real competative dota scene there. This is like going to poverty stricken African country and making yourself a pro hockey team.
demon was 4.9k not long ago and ee same said that bone7 dropped below 5k at some point too (hes at 5.9k now or something)
mm is really fucking random but people shouldnt be more than 1k points under- or overrated i think
MM guesses your initial placement based off the data prior to when it came out. It can guess wrong BUT after you play into the system you gradually move towards your true MM.
hay thats not true my winrate is so bad because i was noob beginning. (at like 100 games my winrate was like 40 percent) now im getting better. :)
Ranked matchmaking is a farce.
See my 15 last matches played. In all matches, i was defeated because my allies feed. I lost 300 MMR points unfairly (compares my kills and deaths to those of my allies, the difference is very large). There are also players who earn MMR points playing poorly, that's why Matchmaking Rating should be based on KDA Ratio.
I propose the following:
The winning and losing players, win and lose respectively MMR points according to their KDA Ratio on the match.
+25 MMR points to winning player with highest KDA Ratio of his team
+20 ...
+15 ...
+10 ...
+5 MMR points to winning player with lowest KDA Ratio of his team
-25 MMR points to losing player with lowest KDA Ratio of his team
-20 ...
-15 ...
-10 ...
-5 MMR points to losing player with highest KDA Ratio of his team
Only then it would be fairer.

Solo mmr is working as intended, lower skilled players being put together (btw i work for valve, just like a couple of repliers in this thread).
Picked bloodseeker in a ranked match lol, but the other team has an sb so can't complain much. You simply got outcarried, bloodseeker is NOT a hard carry, hardly a semi. A powerful ganker with great global vision but that's all he is. 3 meks on your team didn't help much either. Lower skilled players like yourself should stay in that bracket and practice to get better instead of complaining
