You won't have a clear picture of player distribution as it's more likely that higher mmr player will answer this survey.

Also what does this even mean
I've recorded your stats. Thanks!
Solo Est. Rank: 110 of 1337 ( 91.8% @ 4706)
Team Est. Rank: 252 of 1170 ( 78.5% @ 4279)
pretty sure its awful
It means you are in top 10% of the people who participated.

oh wait you're that reddit guy, why cant you make a website that collects rating and puts them up like a highscore?
Large gremlin: Solo Est. Rank: 162 of 1338 ( 87.9% @ 4558)
Large gremlin: Team Est. Rank: 39 of 1171 ( 96.7% @ 4960)
I didn't expect 4960 to be that high in this kind of survey
> wave
I can't read the ratings without someone adding a bot. The bots have limits to how much profiles they can view, imposed by Valve. It would be gimmicky to build a site around that alone, considering you have sites like dotabuff.
I expected much more players to respond, but so far it's a bit underwhelming.
most dota 2 players are vaginas so it shouldnt surprise you If that wasnt the case we would have srs rebelion +1 long time ago when velve destroyed DBR but its okay because they were working on better system I cant even imagine better rating system than the one we have now it surpassed dbr at least tenfold
The only major difference being that the Valve score does not easily allow someone to understand where they stand.
What does 3k mean? What does 4k mean?
DBR solved this, but the Valve MMR deliberately does not.
Solo Est. Rank: 431 of 1364 ( 68.4% @ 4071)
Large gremlin: Team Est. Rank: 304 of 1193 ( 74.5% @ 4207)
> What does 3k mean? What does 4k mean?
Just look at the distribution on the matchmaking blog post, it is accurate for unranked. Above 3200 top 10%, above 4100 top 1%.
It might be unbelievable, but consider how many players there are in Dota 2 . Anyone who has played has a rating. Imagine all those inactive accounts, couple of games only accounts, playing only vs bots, playing once a year etc etc. They are the majority and not surprisingly they have low rating. Even if they only count active accounts for the last month, the numbers are still massive and the majority is same.
I guess I'm at the bottom of ranked MM, lol
Gremlin: I've recorded your stats. Thanks!
Gremlin: Solo Est. Rank: 916 of 1382 ( 33.7% @ 3437)
Gremlin: Team Est. Rank: 824 of 1210 ( 31.9% @ 3463)
Gremlin is now Offline.
Only people with "high" MMR added the bots, because the low MMR people didn't want to be ashamed. I am 3700 and I am not ashamed, considering i have only played Dota 2 for a little under 2 years.
I wrote an article about matchmaking, which you might find interesting. Also, includes results from the survey so far.

Hello everyone,
I need your help.
I am trying to get a clear picture of player distribution at different MMR ratings. I would like to ask anyone who is ranked to participate in my survey. There are no questions and it's completely automatic.
Just add any one of my bots:

The bot will remove you once it's finished fetching your profile.
