Hey guys can anyone tell me WTF happened and if there is any way to contact valve about correcting this stats?
We stomped them, were about to finish and suddenly whole team got kicked and we lost the game. This happened as we were about to Throne them.
I know some of you will be like "get over it go next" but this is just plain unfair, we won fair and sqare. Any ideas if there is any way to "correct" this match?

Valve's employees strike again. Everything they do, you can always conceptually improve on your own. They have a long track record of completely embarrassing, unbelievable bugs or omission of features.

        Examples:
        - Gee wiz, we give a person who disconnects something like 2 minutes of pausing. Should we pause the game for two minutes if an entire team bugs out and disconnects? NOPE, just end the game.... great valve.

-In coutnerstrike: Source (CSS), the game had the following bug in it for more than half a decade: When you shot bullets consecutively, the recoil would naturally get worse. Let's say recoil could be between 0 (first shot) and 1 (5th shot and beyond). Your recoil number didn't reset after you stopped shooting unless you reloaded or swapped guns. In other words, if you had just sprayed, waited 25 seconds, and then shot, your first bullet would be recoil 1. The second shot would immediately jump to the correct "second shot" recoil.

        - Valve still hasn't given us the ability to chart our MMR growth/decay versus games played. Wow, sounds like a fucking common sense feature to me. Expect it to be sold in the store as an item, of course.

-L4D 1 didn't have melee weapons, only the butt of your gun. A zombie game without a katana or chainsaw, again another common sense feature omitted. Their solution was to make L4D 2 1 year later, invalidating everyone's $50 purchase 1 year prior. Great, half the community just vanished to the new game that is simply what L4D 1 should have been with new levels.

-Starting at the new year (I don't know, VAC's 10th year of existence?), Valve finally implemented an ability to catch blatant 360 aimbotters in CS:GO. Unfortunately, they get an overwatch ban (1 year) and not a VAC ban, but it's still a great idea. Here's the catch: The idea is a fucking common sense thing to do, it's easy to do (gee wiz, this guy keeps shooting dead center at the head every bullet with no cool down in between frags... I wonder if a statistical signature exists on this type of cheater). In fact, Punkbuster did this in BF2 as early as I can remember (possibly earlier) and A THIRD PARTY PROGRAMMER developed a behavior-based anti-cheat scanner for CSS himself, calling it hack cam (look it up on Youtube). Wow, so Valve employees, paid like $100k/year, cannot do what their competition as well as what their fans are doing? Well, I guess they can if you wait 5 years after it has already been done.

-Think about how long it finally took Valve to release an MMR mode in dota. Wow, games now feel much more serious with less griefing bullshit than before. It's as if I knew that would happen as well as literally every single Dotabuff user. I guess the 300 employees at Valve couldn't figure it out, though.

        - The MMR system has one incredibly stupid fucking feature: solo MMR and party MMR. Right, because 1 party MMR system can characterize how well you play with all parties... from a 4 stack of professional players to your real life friends that basically sabotage your games. Nope, it can't. It only does a player justice if he basically only stacks with the exact same friends every time. What a retarded system. I don't know, off the top of my head they could probably keep track of the influence of each pair of players. It may sounds computationally impossible, but it's not. The reason is that most people only queue with up to maybe 30 people. Think about it this way: Steam already keeps track of everyone's friend's list (each person has like 20 to 200). They could also keep track of your "party list". No biggie.

        - Optional punishment in CS:GO. This one is a no-brainer. Example:
1.) Was playing with friends, accidentally naded one, instantly kicked and got an abandon. Ok, great. How about using the fact that there is another fucking human in the game and just ask: "Did the player maliciously do this? Do you want him to be kicked/get an abandon?"

        - CS:GO and DotA ARE MADE MY STEAM AND THEREFORE CAN SEE HOW MUCH YOU TRY TO GET BACK INTO A GAME. Hmm.... just using my personal common sense here. Should Steam use the fact that you repeatedly tried to relaunch a game (and then it forcefully confirms the game cache for a convenient 3 minutes, just enough to get you an abandon) or tried to reconnect to the game server multiple times with no luck to figure out you don't deserve an abandon? Nah, everyone lives in a perfect world. Fuck them. We may have the Steam footprint to see he tried to get in to the best of his ability and our end actually fucked up. Instead, we'll just fucking give him an abandon. Why do we pay each employee $100k? Oh yeah, so they can make fucking hats and make me (Gabe) a shit load of money. Fuck everything else.

        - The netcode of CS:GO, prediction and lag compensation. This is a "FEATURE" Valve employees purposefully have in their game. They literally said the following paraphrased: Sometimes you will die behind a wall or kill someone who went behind a wall. We use advanced algorithms to reevaluate every shot/scene but remove the advantage of ping from the picture. Then, we judge whether a shot truly hit or not. Listen, back in 2000 (CSS or CS 1.6), that was great shit. Most people had 100+ ping. They coded that for the 99%. Now, however, the 99% are on high speed internet with 30 ping and the 1% have 150 ping. Great, now they get to fucking lag around and 1 shot me behind a wall. They get to fucking zap around my view. here's a fucking idea: If there is a server of 30 people (an example) and 1 person is zap-around-lagging, FORCE HIS VIEW TO GLITCH AND MAKE HIS MODEL MOVE SMOOTHLY rather than making his view look smooth and everyone else see him glitching around. Here's the idea: Annoy/piss off the 1 lagger instead of the 29 other players who did nothing to deserve a lagging piece of shit flying around a corner (past preaimed angles) to fucking instantly kill the nonlagger as he misses his ever-so-important first few bullets in the tactical game of CS:GO on the warping around faggot. Furthermore, get rid of the fucking lag compensation, or at least tone it down/give an option to get rid of it on servers. We all have 50 ping. Fuck off Valve.

-Valve, fix the shit where you can see fucking effects or hear sounds through the fog of war in Dota2. FUCK YOU AND YOUR FUCKING HATS WHILE SHIT LIKE THIS IS STILL IN THE GAME.

          +1

          Fay

old CS was originally developed by blizzard.
L4D was developed by turtle rock studios
valve only bought them and make money from it
and you can clearly see the skill of their developer

I was talking about CSS, built fully from Valve. It used their engine and everything else. 1.6 has its own crazy bugs that Valve still doesn't give a shit to fix.

Holy Jesus... thats anoying, had the same thing myself, we were wining and all of a sudden the half of our team disconnects.. reconnects and then the games starts going oh soooo sloooooow > bam session drops and we lose the game.

Happened once but its still anoying.. i dunno if the Devs will do something about it Deadshot, they could correct it based on the fact that you were going to win the game and on the game stats you posted.. its not a matter of If they Can do anything but wether of IF ...

Another small bug that i find annoying and this one happens alot.. team is stomping, all is good, your carry disconnects , the other team doesn't want to pause not even for 1 minute ( off course they just got their victory chance handed over to them ) and all of a sudden about when the game is all but lost the guy or guys suddenly reconnect.... its the most anoying thing that can happen on par with the Ops topic

@ Vandal As for L4D. I can attess to this. They had a working katana & chainsaw mod for L4D on the L4D mod forums. It was quitely muffed, and later repackage for L4D2. Which really angered many veteran gamers like us who like modded NWN, Oblivion, WC3 etc... Cuz essentaiallly you are paying a modded BF3 as BF4. I guess the industy likes to copy other people with this idea. Just like how Dead Island just a modded L4D game.

Also If they could combine L4D & BF3's 64 man servers.. Valve would have something competiving versus DayZ since DayZ sucks ass and every zombie survival game since 2008 is a rip-off of L4D.
