it is only unorganized groups of 2-3 people in these 'stacks' in solo que. Stop making excuses for your own failures, who knows you might actually improve
The stacks even provide an additional value to the team's average MMR to compensate for their ability to communicate better... but this frequently seems to actually be a disadvantage to the team they're in because those stacks are not really communicating that well in my MMR range (~3,8k).
mostly a disadvantage as you say Socram. I find it kind of silly not to be able to queue randomly, gives also a much more precise MMR in my opinion. There are still many points i seem to lack to comprehend about this ranked system. Not really informative for the community or supportive.
all they said is: here, we give you the MMR system but no true ladder or polished system that has been properly taken care of.

In my opinion they should only allow solo and parties of 5 in ranked matchmaking.
I kinda' feel like wanting to throw the game when teamed with a stack of 4 and the only words in english are "retard X", where X is hero you play. No pings, everyone expects YOU to buy mek, wards, smokes, always must go warding alone because your team don't care about what you're writing on chat and then blame you for feeding or not having wards.
Simply wrong sampson. There is no reason why solo Q shouldn't only be queued with solo players. It existed before for a reason, and was removed unnecessarily.

there is no such option anymore, it was removed in december. It was removed because ranked mm was put in game and valve wanted to reduce queue times.
I only hate 4stacks being allowed in ranked, no problems with 1, 2, 3 or 5, but the 4stack+solo is completly unfair, and thats why solos hate being matched with party. I dont see a problem with 2+2+1, most solos like to play mid, offlane or jungle, so who cares if dual lane is a stack or other 2 ppl ganks each others lanes effectively? Also 2+3 seems good, with a better coordinated 3lane they can even win against 5stacks if they arent that good and it gives extra mmr points to 5stacks. Just never match solo against 5 stacks, so dont let 4 into rmm, its my only real problem with this system. If 4 cant find a 5th player, they can still queue as 2-2, so noone will have to play alone...
there is really no way around it. 4+ 1 is not the problem the problem is the 4 neglecting the 1 valve can not fix that. Valve MM give them a fair match the fact that they choose to be dicks and scream at the solo player is not a problem with the MM it is a problem with the community. Maybe valve should pay more attention to chat abuse in those games

Exactly! 2 stacks are ok, 3 stacks are ok-ish, 4 stacks are horrible. However, as solo player, you always prefer no-stacks for minimum MMR difference between players.
My last zeus game i was solo and the others 4 guys on my team were a stack, they were speaking russian on the mic at high volume so i just had to mute them. REALLY high volume.
typical you can only choose meaningless shit like which hud would you rather use or do you prefer elf or grevil to deliver your items but when it comes to important things ie players you play with your only real option is 5stack or getting butt fucked regularly

you realize 5k MM players commonly get matched with 4k MM players so the fact that you are still losing alot of your matches shows alot about your skill level
actually there should be an option like that
so it would ve 5 solo vs 5 solo, no more stack abusing or you getting stacked with 2 or 3 retarded friends who want to troll the game
but i suppose it would delay the time for getting a match
i think it may get added back. they took it out to avoid over segmentation when ranked was released. now that is has enough players i bet it gets put back in within the next month or 2
