You say that "you know you have a better team a later time in game", but that pretty much means "they have a better team early in the game". Don't let the other team have a better team early in the game. As in, don't pick a late game hero if your team already has 3. Especially helpful if you pick a KotL or another anti-pusher and drag the game.
Five man. Place defensive wards. Let them take their roshan. Don't be greedy when defending, just stay high ground. I cannot emphasis how important this is - just one support dying is often enough for them to go high. Wait for the other team to make mistakes - you don't have a choice here. Be patient.

You know, when you're getting stomped, but you know you have a better team a later time in game, but how to overcome the gold advantage and fed enemies? My(teams) problem is that we usually can't handle the early game and we tend to feed some hero in their team, last time it was Abaddon, who went like 5-0 in first 5 minutes.
So, what's the best thing that you can do when dealing a such disadvantage?
